All information about entry requirements in Sri Lanka
You will need a passport that is valid for a minimum period of 6 months from the date of entry to Sri Lanka.
You will also need a visa to enter Sri Lanka. It is recommended that you get a short stay visa online
http://www.eta.gov.lk/slvisa/.
The ETA visa is initially limited to 30 days (from the date of entry) but may be extended for up to six months.
Bear in mind that if you arrive in Sri Lanka without a visa, you are bound to face delays. For the most up-to-date advice on visas, check with the Sri Lankan embassies and High commissions worldwide. If you experience any difficulty with the ETA System or if you are traveling for paid or unpaid work, you should get a specific visa from a Sri Lankan consulate before your departure.
